Why does the jade tree not bloom?

Why does the jade tree not bloom?

1. Change the soil

1. Reason: Jade plant has certain requirements for soil, preferably fertile soil with good drainage. In addition, another requirement is looseness and breathability. Generally, the best soil is made from a mixture of rotten leaves, peat and coarse sand, and of course it would be even better if wood ash is added.

2. Solution: If the previous soil does not meet the requirements, it is best to replace it with soil suitable for its growth, so that the plant can have a better foundation for flowering.

2. Increase Lighting

1. Reason: Jade plant is native to Africa, which means it likes light very much. Without light, it can grow healthily, let alone bloom.

2. Solution: Move it from an area with poor lighting to an area with better lighting.

3. Scientific watering

1. Reason: It is a plant that lives in Africa and does not require much water. Therefore, do not water it too often. Wait until the soil becomes dry before watering. If you water too much, it will easily cause the plant to be injured, the roots to rot and the leaves to wilt.

2. Solution: Normally, wait until the soil surface becomes dry before watering. If it is summer, you can water it more and maintain good indoor ventilation. In winter, you need to water less often, about once a week.

4. Appropriate topdressing

1. Reason: Without fertilizer, it is difficult for it to store nutrients, and without nutrient reserves, it is difficult for it to bloom.

2. Solution: Apply fertilizer when it is growing vigorously, two or three times a month. When changing the soil, base fertilizer should be applied, and organic fertilizer can be used.

5. Repotting and changing soil

1. Reason: Because there are many roots, the soil fertility is easily insufficient, and it may become compacted, affecting air permeability.

2. Solution: The soil needs to be changed once a year. When changing the soil, you can cut its roots slightly, and some broken and tangled roots should be cut off appropriately. Then put some tiles at the bottom of the pot, put the plant in, and finally put the soil in. In addition, you can also add some fertilizer in it.
