What to do if the peace tree grows too tall

What to do if the peace tree grows too tall

1. How to deal with being too tall

Generally, if it grows too tall, it needs to be pruned. It can be pruned at any time of the year. Especially in spring and autumn, if you prune it at this time, it can grow new branches quickly. In the summer when its growth rate is slower, due to the influence of temperature and light, it will not grow new shoots quickly.

1. Cut off the branches that are too long

In spring when the temperature is around 20 degrees, you can cut some of its branches short and trim its shape to make it grow more branches. But be careful when pruning to stay away from its buds, otherwise it will lose water and then dry up. Also, the cut must be smooth and cannot be torn apart.

2. Pinching inhibits growth

If it grows too tall, you can pinch it and cut off its excess branches and leaves so that it can maintain its shape and prevent it from becoming ugly due to growing too tall.

2. Daily maintenance attention

1. It is suitable for survival in temperatures of 20-30 degrees. Its small tree cannot tolerate lower temperatures, so the temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees in winter. Pay attention to keeping it warm and don't let it frostbite.

2. It usually needs some light, and it can tolerate shade. It will grow faster in cooler conditions. If it has survived for about ten years, it must be given enough light and shaded in the summer, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and fall off.

3. The soil for planting it should be moist enough, but not too much water. Water should be sprinkled on its leaves and around it frequently. Especially in autumn and winter, sprinkle water instead of watering.

4. Use loose, breathable, and well-drained soil for it. Small trees should be repotted once a year, and large trees should be repotted once every two years. During its growth period, the soil should be loosened frequently to make it softer so that it can grow better.
