What to do if the leaves of rubber trees curl

What to do if the leaves of rubber trees curl

1. Caused by moisture

During normal watering, if there is too much water, water accumulation will easily occur, which will affect the breathing of the roots, making it easy for the roots to rot and the leaves to begin to curl. At this time, we must control the amount of watering and not let the soil in the pot be too wet. In addition, the soil in the pot should not be left without water for a long time, as this will cause the leaves to curl.

This requires us to always pay attention to the condition of the flower soil when adding water. If it is dry, then add water. If it is not dry, then there is no need to add water first.

2. Caused by low temperature

It is extremely cold-intolerant. The temperature is best for its growth when it is between 22 and 32 degrees. Therefore, the temperature cannot be too low in winter. It should be kept above 10 degrees. If it is lower than this temperature, it will easily be frozen and the leaves will curl.

Therefore, in winter, try to move it indoors for maintenance and take certain warming measures.

3. Caused by insufficient light

It likes light very much. If it is kept indoors for a long time without sunlight, it will suffer from insufficient light and the leaves will naturally curl up.

At this time, we should change the environment and let it enjoy more sunlight as much as possible.

4. Caused by soil compaction

During the maintenance process, if the soil is not turned over for a long time, it will become compacted and the air permeability will deteriorate. This in turn affects the breathing of the roots, and in severe cases, it can also cause damage to the leaves. At this time, we should loosen the soil in time to enhance the air permeability of the soil, promote normal breathing of the roots, and the leaves will no longer curl.
