What to do if the leaves of crystal palm become soft

What to do if the leaves of crystal palm become soft

The main reason why crystal palm leaves become soft

In fact, the main reason why the leaves of the crystal palm become soft is water. For example, if the plant is not watered for a long time, it will lack water; if the plant is watered too frequently, its roots will rot; if the plant is not watered correctly according to its living habits, etc. Of course, there are other reasons, such as the normal metabolism of the plant, the seedling growth stage, the environment, etc.

Solution

First of all, we need to understand its life characteristics: spring and autumn are the most vigorous growth seasons. It is relatively drought-resistant, but likes to grow in a slightly humid environment without direct sunlight. It is very afraid of too hot weather and has almost no ability to resist the cold. The most suitable temperature for its growth is between 20 and 25 degrees.

Spring and autumn are the periods when it grows fastest, and it naturally needs more water, so the frequency of watering should be increased; but in summer it will go dormant, so watering must be reduced. In addition, the summer environment is hot and humid, and overly moist soil will make the plant unable to breathe, causing the leaves to soften; in winter, you should also water less, just keep the soil slightly moist. When watering for the first time, you should observe how much water will flow out of the outlet at the bottom, so that there will be a fixed amount of water in the future.

The leaves become soft during the metabolism and seedling acclimatization stages, which is normal and can be cured as long as the plants are properly maintained.
