Why not blooming?

Too hot

In the hot summer, nasturtium is in a semi-dormant state. Nasturtiums sown in spring will basically not bloom. You need to wait until around December.

Too cold

The nasturtium sown in autumn should have bloomed in winter. January and February are the time for it to welcome spring, but the flower buds are slow to emerge, not even a single one, which is really wilful.

In the winter in the south, except for Guangdong, Hainan and other places, the average temperature will not exceed 5 degrees Celsius, which is not conducive to the flowering of nasturtium.

In the north, in rooms with heating, the average temperature can bloom at around 18°C. But without heating, the temperature was shockingly low, so of course the nasturtiums would not bloom for a long time!

What to do if it doesn't bloom

Spraying and fertilizing

Spray Huaduoduo No. 2 or Bikaihua to promote the growth of flower buds.

Applying some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can also promote the flowering of nasturtium.

Improve the growth environment

In the hot summer, you can move the nasturtium to a cool and shaded place to ensure that it is not harmed by the high temperature.

In places where it is cold in winter, appropriate insulation measures can be taken, such as covering with protective film.
