What should I do if Ji Yulu grows too tall?

The reason why Ji Yulu grows too long

The phenomenon in which a plant loses its original short and stocky shape and its stems and leaves begin to grow wildly is called leggy growth.

The growth of Ji Yu Lu requires a certain level of air humidity. It is drought-resistant but not cold-resistant. It avoids high temperature, humidity and scorching sun exposure, and is afraid of waterlogging in the soil.

There are three reasons for the elongation of Ji Yulu:

The first is insufficient light, lack of sunlight, and the surrounding light is too dark.

The second is that the temperature of the breeding environment is not enough.

The third is caused by watering too often and with too much water each time.

The solution to Ji Yulu's leggy growth

If the plant starts to grow too tall, stop watering and place it in the sun to dry. However, avoid direct sunlight and only expose it to scattered light.

Unlike other succulents, the Ji Yu Lu can be cut off and propagated by cuttings after it has grown too tall, so remember not to cut off the head, otherwise the Ji Yu Lu will generally die.

During daily maintenance, pay attention to maintaining air circulation. Spring and autumn are the peak growth periods for the plant. If you observe vigorous growth of the plant at this time, it means that the root system is relatively strong.

When watering during the growing season, wait until the soil is completely dry and then water it thoroughly at once. Place it in a ventilated environment for a few days. After removing excess water, you can start growing it in a sealed environment.
