Rust

When Dancing with Ballad is infected with rust, large rust-brown spots appear on the epidermis of the stem and spread upward from the base of the stem. In severe cases, the entire stem is covered with spots. There are rust-like patches on the leaves.

Black rot

Black rot of Dancing with the Wind often occurs in summer, usually due to poor ventilation and high humidity and temperature environment.

Prevention and control methods: In the early stage, the rotten parts can be completely cut off, and a small amount of fungicide (chlorothalonil, carbendazim, etc.) can be applied on the cut. After the cut is dried, insert it into loose sandy soil to re-root.

Powdery Scale

Powdery mildew is a scale insect that is white in color and has a waxy outer shell that serves as a protective barrier. Powdery scale insects usually attach themselves to branches and leaves and feed on the plant's mucus.

Prevention and control methods: Powdery scale is the appearance of scale insects when they lay eggs. It is the best time to eliminate them. Spraying pesticides such as carbendazim can kill them! If it is discovered too late and the powdery scale has already taken shape, the branches with the powdery scale can be cut off and burned.
