Foam board basin cover

If flowers are infected with diseases and insect pests, they must be treated as soon as possible, otherwise they will become more and more serious! Huahua teaches you how to kill all the bugs with a piece of foam board! Huahua will first use aphids as an example to explain the specific method!

1. Cut the foam board into a circle

Find a piece of foam board, cut it into a circle that is slightly smaller than the surface of the pot, and then cut a hole in it that is big enough for the bottom branches to pass through.

2. Cover the basin with foam board

Pass the foam board through the cut to the bottom of the flower's trunk and let it fit over the surface of the pot. If you don't have foam board, you can also wrap the flower pot with a plastic bag, just prevent the soil from leaking out.

3. Lay the flower pot flat

Place a basin upside down under the faucet, and then place the flower pot flat on the bottom of the basin.

4. Turn on the tap and rinse

Rinse the branches and leaves with water, and gently rub the leaves with your hands to wash away the aphids and their secretions.

5. Put it in a ventilated place after rinsing

After rinsing clean, put it in a ventilated place and observe carefully whether there are still aphids. If there are, rinse it a few more times. Generally, after rinsing 2-3 times, the aphids will be completely dead.

6. Applicable to a variety of pests and diseases

Pests and diseases such as powdery mildew, aphids, red spiders, etc. can be washed away with clean water.

After rinsing with clean water, spray some detergent water

After thoroughly rinsing off the insects with clean water, if you are worried about the recurrence of diseases and pests, you can spray detergent water on the flowers to prevent and control them, which will double the insect repellent and insecticidal effects!

1. Dissolve the detergent in clean water

Put 1 spoon of the commonly used laundry detergent in your home into a basin, then add 800 times of clean water, stir gently to allow the detergent to dissolve completely.

2. Spray on the leaves

Put the detergent water into a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves. Try not to spray it on the soil. It is better to spray all the branches and leaves. It is very effective in preventing and controlling aphids, red spiders, scale insects, whiteflies, etc.!

3. Rinse with clean water the next day

The next day, use clean water to rinse off the remaining detergent on the branches and leaves to prevent the detergent from causing damage to the branches and leaves for a long time.

After flushing with clean water, spray some pepper water

Chili peppers, which are eaten by every family, are also a good helper for growing flowers and killing insects. They do not cause any harm to flowers and are very environmentally friendly. Come and see how to use them!

1. Peppers must be spicy enough to effectively kill insects

You have to choose peppers that are spicy enough to have an insecticidal effect, otherwise it will be a waste of time! For example, chili peppers or jalapenos are super spicy!

2. Boil chili water

Find 5 peppers, cut them, put them in the pot, add 1 liter of water, which is about the amount of 2 ordinary mineral water bottles. After boiling, simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, and finally let cool.

3. Spray branches and leaves

Filter the chili water, put the uncontaminated chili water into a spray bottle, spray it on the branches and leaves of the flowers, and pour the remaining water directly into the soil. Insects like red spiders, aphids, small black flies, etc. will die after being sprayed with pepper water!
