How to deal with root rot of lucky bamboo

How to deal with root rot of lucky bamboo

1. Hydroponics

1. Take out the plant and use sterilized scissors to cut off the rotten roots. The rotten parts cannot be seen with the naked eye. Press the trunk lightly with your fingers when cutting. Cut off the softened parts. Cut the roots at a 45-degree angle when cutting. Then wash it with clean water and also clean the bottle.

2. Pour a proper amount of water into the bottle. You can sprinkle some salt in the water to disinfect the roots of the plant. Then insert the lucky bamboo into the water and place it in a cool and ventilated environment. It will take root in a few days. Don't place it in a place where the temperature is too high or where it can be exposed to direct sunlight. Just keep its growing environment bright and ventilated.

3. After the roots have grown, add an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer, about one or two drops will be enough. If the amount of fertilizer is too large, its roots will rot. Growing lucky bamboo does not require too much water. One-third of the container is enough. If there is too much water, it will easily cause root rot. Fertilizer should also be applied in moderation. If the amount of fertilizer is too much or too frequent, it will cause root rot.

4. If there is an odor in the water, be sure to change the water in time and check whether the roots of the lucky bamboo are rotten.

2. Soil Culture

1. Take the lucky bamboo out of the potting soil, clean its roots with clean water, soak it in carbendazim for a while, rinse it with water and place it in a cool place to dry.

2. Don't choose a flowerpot that is too big. Plant it in loose and breathable soil. Hold the lucky bamboo in one hand and cover the soil with the other hand, then water it thoroughly. Be careful not to add too much soil, otherwise its roots will not be able to absorb water, which will cause root rot again.

3. Lucky bamboo grown in soil is afraid of drought, so water it in time to keep the soil slightly moist.
