What to do if the roots of succulent plants rot

What to do if the roots of succulent plants rot

1. Mild root rot

1. If root rot is caused by excessive watering, you must control the amount of watering. It is best to allow the bottom of the succulent flowerpot to be ventilated and the accumulated water in the flowerpot to be drained as much as possible.

2. To ensure proper ventilation, it is best to place it in a ventilated place. If there is no suitable ventilation location, you can use artificial fanning, but pay attention to the time and do not let it be too long.

3. Observe whether the soil in the pot has become dry. If it has become dry, loosen the soil appropriately and see if the soil is too moist. If so, just let it dry.

2. Severe root rot

1. If the succulent is exposed to rain for a long time and there is too much water in the pot soil, which leads to root rot, you should pull the succulent out of the soil, clean its roots with water, use tools to cut off the rotten parts, apply carbendazim on the wound, and then place it in a ventilated place to dry.

2. Place the processed succulents in the bottle and fill it with water, but the roots of the succulents must not touch the water. They can also be planted directly in the soil. Place the bottle or potting soil in a well-lit place, but not in the sun. Provide adequate ventilation and water it appropriately after the roots grow. Generally, it will grow roots again in 7-20 days.
