Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Lilium lily

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Lilium lily

1. The temperature is too low

1. Reason: Tiger Lily likes a warm environment and is not cold-resistant. If the temperature in winter is too low, below 2°C, the plant will be frostbitten and the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: It needs to be moved to a warm indoor environment for maintenance in time and insulation measures should be taken. The suitable temperature for growth is between 16℃ and 28℃.

2. Improper watering

1. Reason: Fritillaria has a high demand for water and needs more water during the growth period. If not enough water is provided and the nutrient supply is insufficient, yellow leaves will appear. However, if you water too much and damage the root system, yellow leaves will occur.

2. Treatment method: When lack of water, replenish water in time. When watering too much, you need to stop watering immediately, loosen the soil, and then water again after the excess water is drained.

3. Improper fertilization

1. Reason: The growth of Fritillaria requires certain fertilizers to provide nutrients. If you apply too little fertilizer, it will lack some necessary nutrients. If the growing conditions are not met, the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: To address the problem of yellow leaves on plants caused by insufficient fertilization, apply 1-2 times of phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer in the early stage of flowering. During the growth period, apply 2-3 times of dilute liquid fertilizer.
