Why are the leaves of flamingo yellow?

Why are the leaves of flamingo yellow?

1. Improper moisture

Yellowing leaves may be caused by improper water application, which can be divided into water yellowing and drought yellowing. The former is because there is too much water in the loam, making it difficult for the roots to breathe normally. The newly grown tender leaves will become dark yellow and dull. In the case of drought yellowing, the lower leaves will dry and yellow upwards and show signs of falling off. In this case, the water content needs to be adjusted. If there is too much water, place it in a well-ventilated place to promote water evaporation. If it is dry, water needs to be gradually replenished.

2. Unsuitable light exposure

In an environment with strong sunlight or darkness, growth problems will occur, and the leaves will easily turn yellow and then wither. Therefore, it should be placed in a semi-shaded environment and exposed to bright diffuse light.

3. Low temperature

It likes warm places. If the temperature in the growing environment is low, the plant will be frozen and turn yellow. You can adjust the indoor temperature to avoid cold winds.

4. Pests and diseases

It may also be because it is too hot and stuffy, and the indoor air is not circulating, leading to pests and diseases, such as leaf blight, yellow spot disease, red spider mites, etc., which need to be sprayed with pesticides in time.

5. Improper fertilization

It needs nutrient supplementation during its growth process. Long-term lack of fertilizer will cause the leaves to become smaller and yellower. Fertilizer damage will cause the tips of old leaves to turn yellow and fall off. Reasonable fertilization is required.
