Why does the fortune tree turn yellow?

1. Water accumulation in the basin

Reason: If you give the money tree too much water during its maintenance and the water cannot evaporate, the roots will not be able to breathe and will rot, and then its branches, stems and leaves will turn yellow.

Rescue method: Place it outdoors or near a window to ensure good ventilation in the maintenance environment, and turn the soil properly to allow the moisture to evaporate quickly.

2. Too much fertilizer burns the roots

Reason: When fertilizing it, you must also control the amount. If there is too much fertilizer, its heat will burn the roots of the plant, causing yellowing.

Rescue method: The money tree needs to be taken out of the soil and the rotten roots need to be cleaned. Just replace the soil in the pot and replant it. If it is a mild root burn, you can also water more to dilute the nutrients.

3. Excessive exposure to the sun

Reason: Although it likes sunlight, it cannot be placed under strong light for a long time, especially at noon in midsummer. If it is not shaded, it will be sunburned and turn yellow.

Rescue method: Move it to a semi-shaded location. Do not suddenly put it in an overly shady location. Allow the plant to recover for a while. At the same time, you should also water it to prevent the soil in the pot from being too dry.
