What to do if the leaves of mountain rose turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of mountain rose turn yellow

1. Dormancy period causes

Reason: Mountain roses will go dormant at a high temperature of 30°C, and some plants will go dormant at an environment of 20°C. During the dormant period, the bottom leaves of the plant will turn yellow and dry, and the shape of the leaves will be tightly wrapped, very similar to roses.

Treatment method: This is the normal growth state of the plant. There is no need to worry too much or take any treatment measures. Just control the water appropriately. Once its dormant period is over, it can resume.

2. Control water and turn the soil

Reason: It is very afraid of humid and waterlogged environment. If you water it too much or the soil becomes compacted, causing the water to not drain properly, water will accumulate and the roots will be damaged, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

Treatment method: It is recommended to control the amount of watering, or stop watering directly, turn the soil in the pot appropriately to speed up the outflow of accumulated water. Then place it in a semi-shaded and ventilated location and it will recover after a period of maintenance.

3. Shading and ventilation

Reason: Mountain rose cannot be exposed to strong sunlight during its growth period. If it is allowed to grow under strong light, its leaves will turn yellow or even wither. Especially at noon in summer, once exposed to direct sunlight, adverse symptoms will occur.

Treatment method: Move to a cool location as soon as possible for maintenance. When the sun is strong, pay attention to shading and provide proper ventilation to avoid the breeding environment being too stuffy. Usually, you should pay attention to the light intensity and provide shade or move the maintenance location in time.
