Coleus disease prevention and control methods

Coleus sclerotinia

This disease is mainly caused by bacterial infection. The bacteria invade directly from the stem. In the early stage, light brown water-like spots will appear in the diseased area and gradually spread to the stem and petiole. When the disease occurs, many white flocculent mycelium will grow on the lesion. This disease can be controlled by spraying pentachloronitrobenzene, Sclerotinia cleaner and Fungus Killer.

Coleus bacterial soft rot

When the disease occurs, water-like spots will appear on the affected area, which will then turn brown and become slimy and soft and rotten. The soft and rotten tissue is mixed with white, yellow or gray-brown paste-like sticky substances and can emit a foul odor. When the disease occurs, agricultural streptomycin can be used to spray the diseased plants and rhizosphere soil.

Coleus rust

This disease often occurs on leaves, fruits and branches, and orange or dark brown hairs or powdery piles will appear on the diseased leaves. When the disease occurs, you can use pesticides such as fenacet, carbendazim, carbendazim, and fulvestrant to prevent and control it.

Coleus black spot

The symptoms are the same as leaf spot disease, with irregularly shaped spots of varying sizes appearing on the leaves. The main cause of this disease is leaf damage, or exposure to the sun, improper watering, and excessive humidity. Once the disease occurs, remove the diseased leaves in time and spray them with chlorothalonil and methocarb.

Coleus virus disease
