How to care for and water the newly bought Lucky Globe

1. How to take care of the newly bought Lucky Bud

1. Light: The newly bought Lucky Plant should be placed in a well-ventilated place with diffused light for a week. After a week, the light can be gradually increased. However, in summer, the potted plant should be placed in semi-shade and not exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will be burned and the flowers (bracts) will easily fade.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for the lucky tree is 15-25℃. In winter, the maintenance temperature must be kept above 10℃. Otherwise, if the temperature is low and too much water is poured, the lucky tree will easily be frostbitten or even frozen to death.

3. Watering: When the lucky plant is short of water, the leaves will curl inward. When the lack of water is serious, the leaves will wither and even the tips will dry out. You can touch the soil in the pot with your hand. If you feel the soil is dry 2 cm below the surface, you can water it thoroughly until water flows out from the bottom of the pot.

2. How to water the lucky charm

Watering the lucky charm plant is rather special because the plant itself has a cup-shaped water-retaining structure, which is what we often call a leaf cup. Therefore, when watering the lucky plant, you should not only water the soil, but also water the leaf cup, and keep there is always water in the leaf cup to prevent the leaves of the plant from curling and drying out. It should be noted that only the leaf cup at the base of the lucky charm plant can store water, while the red flower heads (bracts) cannot. Otherwise, long-term accumulation of water will easily cause the flower heads to rot.
