Cultivation methods and precautions of Ji Xiaoju

1. Soil

It has a strong adaptability and is not very demanding on the soil, but it has a great demand for water during the growth period, so it is best to use loose soil with good drainage. If it is too sticky, water will easily accumulate and hinder growth.

2. Fertilizer and water

Chrysanthemum is easy to bloom and has a relatively high demand for fertilizer. During the growth period, you must apply fertilizer frequently, and you can apply fertilizer once every 10 days, using diluted liquid fertilizer. It has poor drought tolerance, so you should water it when you find the soil in the pot is dry. Be careful not to water it excessively, as waterlogging can easily cause root rot.

3. Lighting

It needs sufficient light to grow and should be placed in a place with good lighting. It should be exposed to direct sunlight for at least 4 hours a day. Only with sufficient light can it grow vigorously and bloom better. If there is a lack of light, the plant will easily grow too tall, the number of flowers will decrease, and the color of the flowers will become lighter.

4. Temperature

The daisy has almost no requirements for temperature. It can tolerate both high and low temperatures. As long as the summer temperature does not exceed 35 degrees, growth will not be affected. Pay attention to frequent ventilation under high temperatures. It is recommended to move it indoors during the winter in the north, while it is warmer in the south and can be kept outdoors.

5. Notes

During management, we should not only provide it with an environment conducive to growth, but also pay attention to pruning. Its branches are relatively thin and soft, and need to be topped frequently to allow more branches to sprout, resulting in more flowers, a fuller plant shape, and improved ornamental value.
