Water spinach is a vegetable that many friends love to eat. In some places, it is also called kiwi or water spinach. Garlic water spinach is also commonly seen in some restaurants. Spring and summer are the main growing seasons for water spinach. Let’s learn about the method and time of growing water spinach seedlings. 1. Water spinach seedling raising time The best time to plant is spring and autumn, as the climatic conditions in these two seasons are suitable for the growth of water spinach. In terms of specific months, seedlings are generally raised and planted between April and July. In northern regions, the seedling raising time may need to be appropriately adjusted according to local climatic conditions. Under suitable temperature, water spinach seeds will sprout within 24-48 hours. 2. Water spinach seedling cultivation method 1. Soil preparation Choose fertile, breathable sandy loam for planting. If it is a potted plant, you need to prepare the soil in advance and apply an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer. 2. Seed treatment Choose suitable seeds. Since water spinach seeds are hard, they need to be soaked in warm water before sowing to promote the seeds to absorb water. Then wrap the seeds in moist gauze and place them in an environment of 30℃ for germination. 3. Sowing method Dig small holes in the soil, sow the seeds in them, cover with fine soil, and spray water to maintain moisture. 4. Daily management Apply fertilizer in time after sowing and keep the soil moist. Make sure the seedlings are growing in full sunlight. In general, water spinach is sensitive to temperature. When the temperature drops below 10℃, its growth will be inhibited. Therefore, the yield and quality of water spinach will decrease in late autumn and winter. Therefore, the seasonal season of water spinach is mainly from spring to summer.
