What fertilizers are needed for Milan fertilization? Milan fertilization method

1. Fertilization time

The time to fertilize Milan is mainly during the growing season. Since it is afraid of cold but not heat, it grows faster in spring, summer and autumn, and requires appropriate fertilization, generally once a week. Since it blooms many times a year, each flowering consumes nutrients, so top dressing is also required after flowering, usually 2-3 times.

2. Fertilizer selection

There are two types of fertilizers for Milan. One is organic fertilizer, which is not very strong and is not easy to cause fertilizer damage to the plant. The other is phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, usually superphosphate, which can promote flowering of plants. No matter which type of fertilizer you use, you must fully dilute it to reduce its concentration, otherwise there will be a risk of burning the roots.

3. How to fertilize

If you want to apply base fertilizer to Milan, you usually have to apply it when planting or repotting, bury it at the bottom of the pot, or mix it with the potting soil. If you are applying fertilizer during the growing season, bury the fertilizer in the soil, usually away from the roots. Watering the next day after fertilizing will help with fertilizer absorption. If it is liquid fertilizer, you can directly irrigate the roots.

IV. Precautions

When fertilizing Milan, the concentration must be controlled. If the fertilizer is too concentrated, the roots of the plant will be burned, thus affecting its growth. In this case, it is necessary to remove the plant from the pot in time, repair its roots, and spray it with carbendazim to prevent infection of the wounds. After it is dried, it can be replanted with new soil.
