How to fertilize the money tree? What should I do if the leaves dry up after applying too much fertilizer?

1. Fertilization method

1. Base fertilizer: When planting the money tree or repotting it, add some base fertilizer to the soil. You can use farmyard manure and organic fertilizer. Adequate nutrients in the soil will be more conducive to its later growth.

2. Top dressing: The plant requires a large amount of fertilizer during its vigorous growth period, so from May to September, top dressing should be applied every 10-15 days. Fertilization usually uses compound fertilizer, cake fertilizer, and bone meal fertilizer can also be used. When applying fertilizer, you can first dig a few small holes in the soil and put a few grains of compound fertilizer in the holes. This way, the fertilizer effect will gradually be diluted.

2. What to do with dry leaves

If too much fertilizer is applied to the money tree, its roots will easily be burned and rotted, causing the leaves to dry and turn yellow. Stop fertilizing it for a short period of time and water it slightly so that the fertilizer can flow out from the bottom of the pot with the water. You can also change the pot for the plant, rinse the soil on the roots of the plant, and then replace the soil with new soil and plant it in the pot again.

3. Notes

When applying fertilizer, do not apply it too close to the roots, as it may burn the roots. Do not apply it on the leaves, as it may cause leaf rot. Fertilizer should be applied at a certain distance from the roots so as not to burn them.
