The culture technology of Penaeus vannamei in high-position pond

The high-level pond farming of whiteleg shrimp is a high-density intensive farming method. It is favored by many farmers because of its convenient farming operation, high yield and good benefits. Below, I will introduce the high-position pond farming technology of whiteleg shrimp. Let’s take a look.

1. High-level pool selection

The high-level ponds are repaired and measures such as disinfection, sedimentation, and adding fertilizer and water are carried out so that the water in the reservoir can be put into the breeding pond . To avoid pond leakage, it is necessary to strengthen the waterproofing quality of ponds and reservoirs, lay ground film in key areas, and discharge pollutants in a centralized and unified manner. In addition, the water depth of the breeding ponds for whiteleg shrimp is controlled below 2.5m, ensuring that the high-level ponds have independent drain outlets and water inlets, and separating the inlet and outlet pipes to avoid water pollution and disease transmission.

2. Water quality requirements

Whiteleg shrimp has high requirements for water quality. The better the water quality, the higher the survival rate of the shrimp fry and the healthier the shrimp will grow. After the shrimp fry are released, the pond water should be replaced regularly, which can effectively prevent the aging of the pond water quality and improve the ecological environment of the pond. When changing water, you should ensure that the newly injected water is clean and uncontaminated. It is best to disinfect it with bleach or quicklime . In the early stage of breeding, there are some wild fish in the pond competing with shrimp fry for bait. You can kill the fish by spraying tea seed cakes throughout the pond and try to avoid using drugs.

3. Shrimp seedlings release

When the shrimp fry are transported to the farm, the water environment of the high-level pond must be finally confirmed to ensure that the comprehensive environmental factors are consistent with the growth needs of the shrimp fry. Put a plastic bag filled with oxygen into the high-level pond, so that the water temperature in the plastic bag gradually approaches the water temperature of the pond, slowly open the plastic bag, and put the shrimp fry inside into the high-level pond. Try to choose sunny weather for stocking. The shrimp fry purchased from the shrimp fry farm can be directly put into the high-level pond for breeding. You can also first concentrate the shrimp fry in a pond for marking, and then separate them when the shrimp fry grows to 3cm. In this way, targeted management and breeding strategies can be adopted for shrimp fry of different sizes to ensure the overall growth effect of white shrimp.

4. Feeding management

The scientific feeding of South American white shrimp mainly relies on the meat of fish and shellfish. It can also be combined with artificial feed , such as rice bran, plant cakes, etc., or feeding Vino shrimp with high dimensions to meet the shrimp's vitamin nutrition, maintain the balance of shrimp growth, promote rapid growth, improve immunity, and increase appetite. Then determine the feeding amount according to the different stages of the shrimp to avoid overfeeding and water pollution affecting growth. In addition, when feeding, there is less bait in the middle of the pond and more feed can be put in.

The above is the high-position pond farming technology for whiteleg shrimp. The high-position pond farming technology for whiteleg shrimp is a high-density intensive farming method. Compared with conventional whiteleg shrimp farming , the stocking time is arbitrary and the shrimp collection time can be artificially controlled.
