How to grow saffron, can it be grown indoors?

1. Planting method

1. Seed selection: Before planting saffron, you need to choose suitable seeds first, select thick and full seeds, and screen out some dry and small seeds. In order to increase the germination rate of seeds, after selecting the seeds, they need to be germinated first. Soak the seeds in warm water for 1-2 days. This will allow the seeds to absorb water and swell. Then take them out and place them on moist gauze for germination.

2. Soil preparation: Suitable soil can promote growth. Before planting, loose and fertile soil should be prepared. It can be mixed with river sand and humus, and a certain amount of base fertilizer should be applied to provide nutrition. It cannot be used directly after preparation. It can be exposed to the sun for disinfection first.

3. Sowing: Sow the germinated seeds into the soil. The planting density should be appropriate, neither too dense nor too sparse. After sowing, cover with a thin layer of soil, water appropriately to keep it moist, place it in a warm diffuse light environment, pay attention to ventilation, and it will sprout after a period of time, then do a good job of maintenance and management.

2. Can it be grown indoors?

Saffron can be grown indoors in potted form. The operation is not very troublesome. You just need to pay attention to the surrounding temperature and the germination rate is still very high. After the seedlings have grown steadily, they should be placed in a bright, sunny place indoors and exposed to more sunlight to maintain their growth.
