Why lilies wilt after repotting, how to solve it

Why lilies wilt after repotting, how to solve it

1. Root damage

Reason: If the lily is not repotted correctly, it may cause root damage. When it is planted in the pot again, the roots cannot adapt to the new growth environment and the absorption function will be problematic, which will cause the branches and leaves to begin to wither.

Solution: You need to be careful when repotting, especially when removing the plant from the original pot, so as not to damage the root system. After discovering that the roots are damaged, don't rush to plant them in a pot. You can first take care of the roots and then plant them.

2. No pruning

Reason: After repotting, the root system's absorption function cannot be restored for a while. If the branches and leaves are not trimmed, the water evaporation will be very strong, causing the plant to lack water and eventually cause the plant to wither.

Solution: After planting in a pot, the plant needs to be pruned, removing excess leaves to reduce water evaporation.

3. Strong light exposure

Reason: If the plant is exposed to strong light after being potted, it will be burned, lose water in the body, and cause it to wither.

Solution: After repotting, avoid strong light and do not place it in a place with strong light. Only expose it to soft light. After the growth gradually stabilizes, you can gradually expose it to light.
