How to plant osmanthus seedlings, pictures of osmanthus seedlings

1. Loosen the soil

When planting osmanthus seedlings, you must choose loose, fertile, well-drained and acidic soil. The alkalinity and viscosity must not be too high, otherwise it will hinder the breathing of the roots and cause the inability to absorb nutrients and water normally. If you are preparing potted plants, you can mix them yourself with leaf mold, river sand and garden soil.

2. Digging pits and applying fertilizer

Dig a hole of appropriate depth in the prepared soil to ensure that its roots can fully extend. The depth is about 20 centimeters. And an appropriate amount of decomposed organic fertilizer should be put at the bottom of the pit as base fertilizer, so that the nutrients are more sufficient and the seedlings can grow and take root better.

3. Planting in the soil

After everything is ready, you can place the seedling in the pit. Make sure its roots are stretched out and not damaged. After leveling, fill the soil as soon as possible. Fill the pit tightly and compact the soil to avoid tilting.

4. Post-management

After planting, you should pay attention to the management methods and water it thoroughly once to allow it to absorb enough water. The next time you water, wait until the soil turns white to avoid water accumulation, otherwise the roots will easily rot. As long as the humidity and temperature are controlled well, new shoots will soon grow. During the growing season, you should apply fertilizer frequently and do a good job of weeding. In addition, you should get more sun and light.
