1. Is lucky bamboo easy to grow?

Lucky bamboo is relatively easy to grow. It can be grown in soil or water, depending on personal preference. With proper care, it can be kept well.

2. How to grow lucky bamboo

Soil: The best soil for growing lucky bamboo should be loose, fertile, well-drained, and rich in humus. This kind of soil is rich in nutrients.

Fertilization: Lucky bamboo does not require much fertilizer, but in order for it to grow better, it still needs to be fertilized regularly. You can apply fertilizer every half a month in spring, summer and autumn. It is better to use compound fertilizer, and the concentration should not be too high. No fertilizer is needed in winter.

Temperature: The temperature suitable for the growth of lucky bamboo is between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in winter cannot be lower than five degrees Celsius, otherwise the plants must be moved to a greenhouse for maintenance to prevent frostbite, root rot and other problems.

Watering: When watering lucky bamboo, control the amount of water and keep the soil in a semi-dry and semi-wet state. When the temperature is higher in summer, you can water it every other day, once every week in spring and autumn, and once every twenty days or so in winter. You can usually sprinkle water around the plant to keep the leaves relatively clean and also replenish some moisture for the leaves.

Pest and disease control: Common pests and diseases of lucky bamboo include leaf spot, spider mites and scale insects. When insect pests appear, you can capture them manually. When diseases appear, you can spray them alternately with thiophanate-methyl or thiophanate-methyl, about once every five to seven days.
