Fig planting technology, fig seedling price

Fig planting technology, fig seedling price

1. Planting technology

1. Planting at the right time: Figs can be planted in spring or winter. Spring is in early spring, around March. Winter is between November and December, and it should be planted before freezing. When the new seedlings have a stable root system and are fully developed, they can be planted. The planting distance is about 3-4 meters, and the distance between plants is about 2 meters.

2. Shaping and pruning: Pay attention to management and prune in time after planting. It is enough to keep about 3-5 main branches for the whole plant, and do not leave side branches. Just let multiple main branches form the crown. Therefore, it is necessary to pinch the tops of the trees in time during the seedling stage to promote more branches so as to expand the crown.

3. Field management: After successful planting, the soil should be loosened, weeded and fertilized in time after pruning. Usually, compound fertilizer is applied so that the branches and leaves can grow faster. It is not cold-resistant or drought-resistant, so the temperature in northern regions needs to be controlled in winter and watering is not needed too frequently, just water when the soil is dry. During the rainy season, drainage should be carried out in a timely manner to avoid water accumulation.

2. Sapling Price

The price of fig tree seedlings is approximately between 2 and 4 yuan per tree, but the final price will vary slightly depending on the region, specifications, variety, origin and quantity purchased. There are many varieties of it, with more than 800 known so far. It is planted in both the north and south of my country, with the largest number of plants planted in Xinjiang.
