How to grow white palm

How to grow white palm

1. Soil Preparation

Loose, well-drained, breathable soil can be used to grow white palms. It can be prepared with leaf mold, peat soil, and perlite. The pH value should be maintained at around 5.5. Do not use soil that is too sticky or too alkaline.

2. Semi-shady environment

It is relatively shade-tolerant, and maintaining about 60% diffuse light can meet its growth needs. It can generally be placed in a place with diffuse light indoors and exposed to soft light. In the summer, you should pay attention to blocking the scorching sun, which can be done by blocking 60%-70% of the sunlight. Do not expose the plant directly to the sun, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and get sunburn, affecting its ornamental value.

3. Apply moisture

The small white palm requires more water during the growth stage. The soil in the pot should be kept moist, but there should not be too much water accumulation, and not too much water should be given at one time. In winter, you need to control the water content and keep the soil in the pot generally dry, not too wet, otherwise the roots will rot.

4. Apply fertilizer

During the vegetative growth stage, more fertilizer can be applied and the nutrient solution sprayed needs to be more balanced. This will enable better growth and ensure the blooming of flowers.

5. Temperature requirements

The temperature of anthurium needs to be kept good on a daily basis, but after winter, the weather becomes cold, so it can be moved to a warm and sunny place indoors.
