Can Spathiphyllum be grown in water?

1. Can it be raised in water?

Spathiphyllum can be grown in water. Not only can it be cultivated in soil, it can also live well in water. Both methods are acceptable. It is relatively convenient to grow Spathiphyllum in water. You only need to change the water regularly. It is relatively simple to maintain and is less likely to be infected by pests and diseases. It does not require too much energy. However, growing plants in water is not all advantages, because the main source of water and nutrients is the water quality. If you forget to change the water or add nutrient solution, it may cause insufficient nutrient supply and affect the growth of the plant itself. You can decide whether to grow plants in water based on your own situation.

2. Water culture steps

1. Remove from the pot: slowly take the plant out of the pot, clean the soil at the roots, and then wash it in clean water. Trim the roots and cut off the rotten old roots, but do not damage the main root system.

2. Container: Prepare a container made of transparent material, which has a more beautiful appearance and can be used to observe the condition of the roots. The water used can be tap water, but it must be placed aside to dry in advance so that the chlorine can evaporate.

3. Hydroponics: Add water to the hydroponic container to ensure there is sufficient moisture. Place the plant in the water so that one-third of the roots are immersed in water.
