How to grow raspberries

How to grow raspberries

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It has a very strong adaptability. The normal growth temperature is between 15 and 20 degrees. It is very cold-resistant. There is no need to do any warming work in winter. Just let it spend the winter outdoors normally. At the same time, it can grow normally in summer and will not be affected by high temperatures.

2. Watering: It needs sufficient water for normal growth, and more attention should be paid to it during the growth period. If there is a lack of water during the breeding process, its yield will be very low, so watering is also an important way to increase yield.

3. Light: It needs warm and sufficient light for normal growth. At the same time, under sufficient light conditions, the fruit will grow fuller and rosier, and its value will be higher. Therefore, when planting, you need to choose a sunny place so that you don’t have to worry about light problems.

4. Fertilization: Fertilization is also very important. Fertilizer can make it grow luxuriantly. During the growth period, you can apply some humus and animal manure to it to ensure better growth. You can apply some compound fertilizer when the seedlings are young to speed up their growth.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Layering and cuttings are two important methods of reproduction. Layering is generally carried out in August each year. The strong branches are directly buried in the soil, and then separated from the mother plant after germination. Cuttings are carried out in spring. One-year-old branches need to be inserted into the soil, and 40 cm branches should be selected.

2. Pruning: Pruning is required before planting, and some densely distributed branches need to be cut off. Some side branches need to be cut off the second time. At the same time, the third time, drastic pruning is required after harvesting the fruit.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Stem rot will occur during the growth period. This disease will occur in the summer and can be controlled and prevented using carbendazim solution.

2. Pests: Willow bat moths will appear, and some insecticides can be used to control and defend against them.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is not poisonous. The nutritional value of raspberries is very high and they are very popular. You can grow them with confidence.

2. Can it be raised at home?: Not suitable, it is usually planted in orchards.
