Can rose branches survive by being planted?

1. Can it be inserted alive?

Roses can be propagated by cuttings, so the flower branches can be kept alive by cuttings. However, the branches must be fresh, otherwise it will affect the survival rate. Before cuttings, they must be properly treated and provided with a suitable environment, which will be more conducive to their rooting and germination.

2. Cutting process

1. Select cuttings: In order to ensure the survival of rose cuttings, you need to choose branches with thick growth. The flower branches bought from flower shops are generally processed and are not easy to root. After the plant blooms, you can cut 10 cm long branches. Keep a few buds on the branches and then remove the leaves below.

2. Preparation of potting soil: It is not advisable to use soil with strong fertility for cuttings. It is better to use plain sand or plain soil. If the soil contains sufficient nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, it will not only not help its growth, but will also inhibit rooting. In order to ensure that the cuttings will not get sick after grafting, you need to disinfect the soil in the pot first and expose it to the sun for two days.

3. Carry out cuttings: After preparing the cuttings and potting soil, you can carry out cuttings. Cuttings are usually carried out in spring or autumn. Insert the branch into the potting soil to a depth of about half the length of the branch. Do not water before cuttings to avoid the soil in the pot being too moist.

4. Subsequent maintenance: After cutting, place the flower pot in a cool and ventilated place to receive a certain amount of scattered light. After a week, you can put it in a sunny place, but avoid direct sunlight. When exposed to light, you can spray water appropriately to keep the environment moist.
