How to propagate Luweihua (sowing and division process)

1. Seed propagation

1. Sowing time: The sowing time of leuconostoc is generally at the turn of autumn and winter. The temperature is between 10-20℃. Too high or too low temperature is not conducive to its germination. Of course, due to regional differences, the sowing time can be advanced or delayed.

2. Germination treatment: Refrigerate the seeds in the refrigerator for two weeks. Then put it in a cool place with a temperature of 10-20℃. It should not be exposed to light at this time. When the seeds turn white, they can be sown.

3. Pot soil preparation: Lophatherum is suitable for growing in relatively loose and fertile soil. The potting soil is generally made of peat soil and river sand, and you can also add some perlite. A few pieces of broken tiles need to be placed at the bottom of the flowerpot to improve its drainage.

4. Sowing: Sprinkle the seeds of the hibiscus directly on the surface of the potting soil. Place the flowerpot in a cool place, water it thoroughly and wait for it to germinate.

2. Division propagation

1. Division time: The division of leucothoeia should be carried out in spring. Usually before the growth period, this allows it time to recover. At the same time, it is advisable to divide the plants on a sunny day to avoid prolonging the seedling acclimatization period due to rainy weather.

2. Preparation of potting soil: Lophatherum likes slightly acidic soil, and you can use some leaf mold to improve the soil quality. At the same time, add some sand to the pot to increase its drainage capacity.

3. Division: Take the rudbeckia out of the pot, knock off some of the soil with a wooden stick, and then separate the small plants and plant them individually. When separating, each plant should have intact roots with soil on them.

4. Subsequent maintenance: After division, plant them in new pots respectively. At this time, you can provide appropriate light to allow it to recover faster. You can also use some drugs to promote flowering.
