How to water cymbidium

How to water cymbidium

1. How to water

The water requirements for different seasons are different, and watering is also different.

1. Spring: After entering spring, the growth has just begun to sprout and is in a period of vigorous growth. It cannot grow in a dry environment and needs sufficient water to supplement its growth. Watering once a day will be enough. In addition to watering the roots, the air humidity must also be kept high. Spray water around to maintain the humidity. If the humidity does not meet the standard, the plant will still grow poorly, appear weak, and the leaf color will look unhealthy.

2. Summer: Summer is also the peak growth season, especially in July and August when the temperature is high and the evaporation rate is also very fast. Watering once a day is not enough and it needs to be watered twice a day.

3. Autumn: The flowers will gradually bloom in autumn and enter the flowering period. At this time, the demand decreases and the frequency needs to be controlled. Excessive watering will cause the flower buds to fall off. Watering once every 3-5 days will be enough.

4. Winter: The climate is cold in winter, the growth rate slows down, and the water requirement decreases sharply. It only needs to be watered once every 5-7 days.

2. Precautions

The water quality must be acidic. It is best to use clean rainwater, which is beneficial to the growth of the plants. If conditions do not permit, you can use standing tap water.
