A dying flower can be revived immediately by using this trick

Death by drought

If flowers and plants are not watered in time, the leaves will wilt from the top downwards, and slowly the bark will dry up, the leaves will turn yellow, and the entire plant will die. For example, the pennywort in the picture below is wilting due to lack of water.

save:

1. Cleaning: Cut off all the wilted branches and leaves of the pennywort and retain the healthy root system.

2. Resprouting: After watering, place it in a warm and bright place indoors, and the pennywort will sprout again after a while.

Note: Other flowers and plants should be watered in time under this situation. Pay attention to gradually increasing the amount of water, and do not water too much for the first time.

Before watering, leave the water next to the flowerpot for more than two hours, and wait until the temperature of the water and the soil in the flowerpot are similar before watering.

If the soil is too dry and hardened, and watering is difficult, you should choose to immerse the plant in the pot.

1. Soak the pot: Place the flower pot in a larger pot and add water to the larger pot to half the depth of the pot.

2. Take out: Water will seep into the soil from the water holes at the bottom of the flower pot. You can take out the flower pot when you feel the soil on the surface of the flower pot is soaked by water.

Death by waterlogging

Flowers and plants are killed by waterlogging not because they absorb too much water, but because there is too much water in the soil and the flowers and plants cannot absorb it. The soil is heavy and sticky, making it difficult for the roots to breathe, which causes microorganisms to breed and lead to root rot.

Rescue 1: Loosening and ventilation

Gently open the soil in the pot and observe the condition of the roots. If there is no root rot, the situation is not serious. You should loosen the soil for the flowers and plants in time and place them in a bright and ventilated place to allow the moisture to dissipate as soon as possible. However, avoid direct sunlight and strong winds.

Rescue 2: Root Rot

If root rot has occurred and the situation is serious, the rotten roots must be cleaned up in time. Take succulents as an example.

1. Cleaning: Clean the roots of the succulents and cut off all rotten parts with a sterilized blade.

2. Disinfection: Apply carbendazim to the incision for sterilization and dry it in a cool and ventilated place for one or two days.

3. Rooting: You can place the cut succulent plant on the mouth of a bottle with water, without letting the roots touch the water. You can also place it on planting soil such as perlite and Akadama and wait for it to take root.

4. Placement: Place the succulents in a cool, ventilated and diffused light place, avoiding direct sunlight. Generally, they will be able to regrow their roots in about 3 weeks.

Burn to death

If too much fertilizer is applied and the fertilizer concentration in the soil is too high, it will burn the roots, causing the edges of the leaves of flowers and plants to turn yellow and gradually wither.

save:

Take the green radish as an example.

1. Cleaning: First, take the green radish out of the pot and check whether the roots are burned. Peel off the soil at the roots and clean them. Use a sterilized blade to clean the burned roots and remove the overly wilted leaves.

2. Repotting: Rinse the flowerpot, put in clean leaf mold, add about a quarter of vermiculite or river sand, mix well and replant the green ivy.

3. Acclimation: Place the green radish in a cool and ventilated place, and sprinkle water on the leaves and the surrounding area every day to keep them moist. Under normal circumstances, it will adapt in about 10 days.

Pests

Insect pests are a major enemy to the healthy growth of flowers and plants. Prevention is the main focus in normal times. If they appear, they must be treated in time. Once the insects destroy the main trunk of the flowers and plants, the entire plant will wither and die.

Rescue 1: Conservative treatment

If the pests and diseases are not very serious, you can choose conservative treatment, taking scale insects as an example.

1. Medication: dilute the Aphidicide with water at a ratio of 1:2000.

2. Spraying: Spray the medicine on the leaves with insect pests.

Rescue 2: Complete treatment

If the pest infestation is already very serious and cannot be cured, you can select healthy parts of the flowers and plants and replant them by cuttings, taking Kalanchoe as an example.

1. Select leaves: Select healthy Kalanchoe leaves, carefully cut them with a sterilized blade, and place them in a cool place to dry.

2. Soil preparation: Choose loose and fertile leaf mold, mix in about a quarter of river sand or vermiculite, water until water flows out of the water holes, and insert the Kalanchoe leaves into the soil.

3. Germination: Place the flower pot in a cool and ventilated place, keep the soil moist, and wait for the Kalanchoe to germinate.

The Kalanchoe sprouts very slowly, taking 5-6 months, but after re-grafting now, the flowers will bloom beautifully during the Chinese New Year. Flower lovers must be patient.

If you see that a flower is about to die, don't rush to throw it away.

Let’s try and see if we can save it first!
