How to grow Dendrobium

1. Water thoroughly

Dendrobium prefers a growing environment with sufficient water. Watering should be done during the cultivation period, but the soil should not be too moist, and there should be no stagnant water. The climate is stable in spring and autumn, so you can water the plants once a week. The high temperature in summer will cause the water to evaporate faster, so the watering frequency can be adjusted to once every 2-3 days.

2. Suitable lighting

It is more suitable to grow in semi-shaded places. Do not let it receive direct sunlight. It should be shielded when the sunlight is strong. It is best to block 50% of the light in summer and autumn, and about 30% at noon in spring. It should be exposed to more light before and during flowering, so that more flowers will bloom.

3. Proper ventilation

During the breeding process, try to place it in a ventilated place. Only by ensuring air circulation in the breeding environment can you prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests, which is also beneficial to plant growth. If you keep it indoors, you need to open the windows more often or move it outdoors for maintenance.

4. Suitable temperature

It is also important to adjust the breeding temperature to an appropriate range. The room temperature is best at 25-36℃, which can help the plants grow more healthily. The temperature during the winter is very low, but it is best not to be lower than 5℃, and the highest temperature in midsummer should not be higher than 35℃.
