How to grow lucky bamboo in winter

How to grow lucky bamboo in winter

1. Plenty of sunshine

Although lucky bamboo does not have high requirements for sunlight, it should not be deprived of sunlight for a long time during winter. When the plant is not exposed to light, it will show yellow leaves. Therefore, placing it in a place with sufficient light in winter will help it survive the winter better.

2. Ensure the temperature

The temperature in winter is very low. If you don’t pay attention to regulating it, it will be very detrimental to its growth. Therefore, if conditions permit, it is best to adjust the temperature to above 15℃. If the temperature does not meet the requirements, it must be ensured to be no lower than 10℃, and take measures to keep warm when the temperature drops.

3. Water volume control

If you water too much at this time, the water in the potting soil will be difficult to evaporate and water accumulation will easily occur. Therefore, you must control the number of waterings at this time, especially when the weather is bad, you should water less and keep the soil slightly dry. When watering in winter, be careful not to let the water temperature be too low.

4. Placement

This point is always overlooked by many flower lovers. Because of the low temperature in winter, many people will place it next to the heater or coal stove. Remember not to do this, as it may easily burn the plant. The most suitable place for maintenance is on a windowsill with good light, or on an indoor balcony.
