How to grow lily bamboo to make it more vigorous?

Lily bamboo belongs to the Agavaceae family and is a perennial shrub. Its plant shape is elegant and graceful, and its leaves are long and strip-shaped, looking vigorous and powerful. 1. Sunlight

Lily bamboo likes soft diffuse light and is afraid of direct light. It can survive normally in a brightly lit room. It is best to have more than 4 hours of diffuse light a day, but avoid direct light. If the light is too strong, the leaves will be burned.

2. Soil

Lily bamboo is not very picky about the soil. As long as the drainage is good, it does not need the soil to have too much fertility. It is best to choose loose, breathable and well-drained soil. You can add more coarse sand, perlite or pine scales to the soil, or you can directly choose nutrient soil with more coarse particle matrix for cultivation.

3. Watering

During the growing season, you can water the lily bamboo thoroughly when the soil in the pot is slightly dry, but do not keep the soil moist all the time. Reduce watering when the temperature is low, especially when the temperature is below 15 degrees. When growing lily bamboo indoors, be sure to avoid continuous moisture in the soil, otherwise it will easily be infected with root rot. In addition, lily bamboo is more sensitive to fluoride. If it is directly replenished with tap water containing too much fluoride for a long time, it will easily cause the edges of the leaves to burn and the edges of the leaves to wilt.

4. Temperature

6. Pruning

If you find that the branches are too long and too high, and you want them to grow more new branches, you can cut off the long branches, and they will grow new branches below them. 7. Reproduction

If you want to propagate lily bamboo, you usually use branch cuttings. After the spring warms up every year, when the temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees, you can cut the branches. Each branch is about 15 to 18 cm long. Remove the leaves at the bottom of the branch, and then prepare clean, breathable and well-drained soil. 8. Pests and diseases

Lily bamboo is rarely infected by diseases and pests. If the ventilation is too poor and the air is too dry, it may be infected by red spider mites, so take precautions in advance.
