1. Lighting

It is a light-loving flower plant. When cultivating it, try to place it in a place with good light. The plant will grow more vigorously with sufficient light. However, during the hot summer season, you should avoid the strong sunlight in time to avoid sunburn. In addition, it is a short-day plant and can only bloom when the light is short in autumn.

2. Watering

During the maintenance period, water the plant thoroughly after potting it in a timely manner, and there is no need to add water frequently in the later stage. It is drought-tolerant and only needs to be watered once a week, and when you water it, make sure it is watered thoroughly. When the temperature is high in summer, the frequency of watering should be increased appropriately. In winter, water should be controlled. You don’t need to water if the soil is not dry, but water must not accumulate.

3. Fertilization

Its growth cannot be separated from fertilizer. Only by replenishing nutrients in time can it grow vigorously and bloom normally. Usually, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are used. Fertilizers should be applied frequently during the peak growing season, about once every half a month. Either decomposed cake fertilizer or manure will do. Before each flowering, add potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution to promote flowering. In addition, be sure to remove weeds before applying fertilizer.

4. Pruning

During the maintenance period, timely pruning is also required. When the seedlings grow to about eight centimeters, the first pinching should be done, and when they grow to 11 centimeters, pinching should be done again. When pruning, only three sections of the stem should be retained. In this way, the plant can grow more and more luxuriantly.

5. Notes

During the maintenance period, it is easy to be harmed by various diseases and pests. Once discovered, it is necessary to spray pesticides in time to control them. Otherwise, the disease will continue to infect, seriously affecting the growth of the plant and may even cause death.
