How to cultivate water lotus

1. Lighting

Water lily is suitable for growing in places with sufficient sunlight, so the maintenance environment must have proper light. It is best to keep it in the sun for 7-8 hours a day, which will help it bloom better. Be careful not to keep it in a too dark place, and provide shade during summer noons.

2. Nutrients

Although its nutrient requirements are relatively low, it cannot be left without fertilizer for a long time during the breeding period, otherwise the lotus will grow poorly. Generally speaking, nutrients need to be supplemented once a month, mainly by applying nutrient solution when changing the water. Only by ensuring that there are sufficient nutrients can it grow more healthily.

3. Change water

During the breeding period, it is necessary to add water appropriately and change the water every 15 days or so. When the water evaporates faster in summer, water should be added every 1-2 days. In addition, the water quality must be ensured to be sufficiently clean, and water with impurities cannot be used for breeding.

4. Weeding

Pay attention to weeding during the breeding period, because if there are weeds in the pot, it will hinder the growth of the lotus, so they must be removed as soon as possible.
