Cultivation methods and precautions of Gloxinia

Cultivation methods and precautions of Gloxinia

1. Matrix

If you want the plants to grow better, you need to use suitable soil, and the soil must be loose and breathable enough. Because the plant's root system is very fragile, it is afraid of heavy soil and stagnant water.

2. Lighting

Ensure adequate light when sunlight is weak, such as in winter. It is a semi-sun plant, so you should pay attention to sun protection and avoid it from being exposed to the sun. It should be placed in semi-shade in summer, and appropriate shade should be provided during the flowering period to help it bloom.

3. Watering

To replenish water for it, you need to use the immersion method. Do not spray water on the leaves and flowers of the plant. When the temperature is high, you can water 1-2 times a day. The amount of water should be controlled and the watering should be even. The weather is cold in winter, so keep the soil in the pot slightly dry and protect it from rain.

4. Temperature

The temperature of the breeding environment should be maintained at 10-25℃. It should be maintained at 18-25℃ from January to October, and at 10-12℃ from October to February of the following year.

5. Notes

Note that it is easily attacked by diseases and insects during its growth period, so it needs to be pruned immediately, the diseased parts need to be cut off, and it needs to be disinfected with medicine in time.
