Cultivation method of large-leafed radish

Cultivation method of large-leafed radish

1. Growth habits

Its flowering part is at the top, and its shape is the shape of a flower bell. Its color is light green. It usually blooms from April to June. It likes a sunny living environment and can adapt to drought. The suitable growth temperature is generally around thirteen to twenty degrees. Even when the weather is cold in winter, the temperature must reach around ten degrees.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature

This plant prefers a relatively mild growing environment. It is best to keep the temperature around 15 degrees Celsius. Even when it is cold at the end of the year, the temperature must not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius. Plants are prone to frostbite when the temperature is below five degrees, and they are prone to leaf drop when the temperature is below ten degrees, so special attention needs to be paid to maintenance when planting in areas with low temperatures in winter.

(2) Lighting

It likes warm sunlight, but not excessive exposure to the sun. During its faster growth period, it needs at least four hours of sunlight a day to allow the plant to grow luxuriantly.

(3) Fertilization

Generally speaking, its demand for fertilizer is not high. Under normal circumstances, as long as the soil for growing it still contains nutrients, there is no need to fertilize it. However, in order to make the flowers appear in the best condition when they bloom, you can apply fertilizer 1-2 times a month in advance, and the fertilizer should be rich in nutrients.

(4) Soil

The quality of the soil has a huge impact on its growth. For this plant, the selected soil should be fertile sandy soil with good drainage and strong air permeability.

3. Notes

If the cultivation method is potted planting, when the plant reaches a certain height, the top should be removed in time so that it can grow separately, which can make it grow better.
