How to grow blue fescue

How to grow blue fescue

1. Breeding environment

1. Potting soil: As long as the soil is not easy to clump and accumulate water, and is not highly acidic or alkaline, the rest of the soil quality can meet its normal development. It is tolerant to barrenness, so it is not picky about the soil.

2. Light: It likes light but also has a certain degree of shade tolerance. It can grow normally as long as it is not placed in a backlit place all day. But if you want its leaves and flowers to be more colorful, you must give it plenty of sunlight and place it in a well-lit place.

3. Temperature: It is resistant to high temperatures, so no worries in summer. However, it has poor cold resistance and needs to be kept warm in winter, otherwise it will get frostbite and will not be able to survive safely.

4. Water and fertilizer: You don’t need to water too frequently during maintenance. Just keep the soil slightly moist, especially in the first year of maintenance. There should be no stagnant water. Don't apply too much fertilizer. It can survive well in poor environments, but too much fertilizer will cause fertilizer damage.

2. Breeding Methods

It is mainly propagated by two methods: sowing and transplanting. Sowing can be carried out from September to May of the following year. The growth rate is very fast, so you can just sow the seeds directly. Division planting is carried out in spring between March and May. When the growth is vigorous, just plant them separately to prevent the middle part from dying.
