Corn prefers a warm environment, the plant grows very tall, the shape of the leaves is narrow and large, the leaf edges are wavy, and when mature, it forms a corn.

Where does corn like to grow?

Corn is native to Central and South America. Most of my country's corn is grown in the north of the Yellow River. Now it is cultivated all over the world and is widely distributed between latitudes of 30°-50°. Countries with relatively large areas of corn cultivation include the United States, China, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and India.

Corn prefers a relatively warm growing environment and requires a higher temperature during its growth. It also needs sufficient light to grow healthily. The temperature needs to be maintained between 10℃ and 35℃, otherwise it will be detrimental to its growth.

1. Moisture

Corn is a crop that requires a lot of water. Its water requirements must be met at every stage to ensure its healthy growth. Its water requirement is relatively small during the seedling stage, and will gradually increase during the jointing stage. The water requirement is the highest around the beginning and end of the ear stage, and will gradually decrease after the corn matures.

2. Soil

Neutral soil is relatively suitable for planting corn, especially soil with good texture and looseness. It has strong water retention capacity and can also promote the growth of corn roots, which is beneficial to the increase of corn yield.
