Now it is cultivated all over the world and is widely distributed between latitudes of 30°-50°. Countries with relatively large areas of corn cultivation include the United States, China, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and India.

Corn growing environment and conditions

1. Moisture

Corn is a crop that requires a lot of water. Its water requirements must be met at every stage to ensure its healthy growth. Its water requirement is relatively small during the seedling stage, and will gradually increase during the jointing stage. The water requirement is the highest around the beginning and end of the ear stage, and will gradually decrease after the corn matures.

2. Soil

Neutral soil is relatively suitable for planting corn, especially soil with good texture and looseness. It has strong water retention capacity and can also promote the growth of corn roots, which is beneficial to the increase of corn yield.
