How to grow a potted ginkgo tree

How to grow a potted ginkgo tree

1. Breeding environment

1. Potting soil: When caring for potted plants, you should choose a suitable flowerpot. The soil inside should be breathable, fertile and loose. It can be cultivated with loose garden soil mixed with an appropriate amount of base fertilizer.

2. Light: It likes light very much. When caring for it, be sure to place the potted plant in a well-lit place, but keep it in the shade in summer and avoid strong light to avoid yellowing the leaves.

3. Temperature: It likes to grow in an environment between 15 and 25 degrees. It is slightly cold-resistant and can survive the winter outdoors, but it is best buried underground.

4. Watering: Normally the soil in the pot should not be too dry or have water accumulation. The evaporation is large in summer, so water it every day, once in the morning and once in the evening. When the temperature drops, you should start controlling the water and keep it slightly moist.

5. Fertilization: Fertilization is mainly applied in spring and summer, with thin fertilizers applied frequently. If you want more flowers, apply more phosphorus fertilizer. If you want leaf growth, add nitrogen fertilizer.

2. Pests and diseases

Ginkgo trees have relatively few insect pests when they are cared for, but if the soil in the pot is too moist or the temperature is too high, it can easily lead to root rot and leaf blight. When discovered, timely prevention and control are necessary and they should not be allowed to deteriorate and affect growth.
