How to grow bellflower pot plants

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: The choice of soil is very important when caring for potted plants. Campanula likes well-drained, fertile and loose soil.

2. Watering: It likes a humid environment, especially during the growing period, it needs more water, but there should be no stagnant water, otherwise the roots will not be able to breathe and affect growth.

3. Light: It prefers scattered light for its growth. It is best to place it in a semi-shaded place during maintenance. Be careful not to expose it to strong light, otherwise it will get sunburned. If you want it to bloom naturally, it needs 14 hours of sunlight.

4. Fertilization: Fertilize frequently during the growth period. If it is a seedling, you can add more calcium and nitrogen fertilizers to promote growth.

2. Pests and diseases

During the maintenance period, diseases and pests are likely to occur, mainly leaf spot, powdery mildew and aphids. When discovered, they should be sprayed with pesticides for treatment. Do not allow them to erode the plants, otherwise it will seriously affect their growth.

3. Breeding Methods

The main method of propagation of Campanula is sowing, which is carried out in early autumn. Before planting, the seedbed should be prepared, the soil should be deep-turned, weeds should be removed and disinfected. Soak the seeds before sowing for about 12 hours. After processing, you can directly sprinkle it on the surface of the seedbed without covering it with soil. Keep it moist and it will germinate in about half a month.
