How does the Buddha beads succulent survive the winter?

How does the Buddha beads succulent survive the winter?

1. Enter the room at the right time

Succulent Buddha beads are relatively cold-resistant and are not easily frozen to death in winter. When the temperature has not dropped to 2℃, you can still keep it outdoors. However, when the temperature drops to 2℃, it should be moved indoors. Otherwise it will still get frostbite.

2. Control watering

When growing it in winter, be sure to control watering. Because it has strong cold resistance when the soil in the pot is relatively dry. If the soil in the pot is too moist or even waterlogged, the water will easily freeze and cause frostbite to the plant. However, if the temperature around it can be maintained above 20℃, then watering can be carried out normally.

3. Ensure sunlight

In winter, the light is softer. So it is best to place it on the windowsill of a south-facing room. The lighting here is better, allowing the plants to receive sufficient light. If there is no such well-lit location in your home, you can also place a desk lamp around it to provide supplementary lighting.

4. Suspend fertilization

It does not grow fast when the temperature is low and does not require much nutrients. The nutrients originally contained in the soil can meet its needs. Therefore, you should temporarily stop fertilizing it to prevent its roots from being damaged by fertilizer.
