How to survive the winter for jasmine, potted plants/ground plants/seedlings

1. How to keep potted plants through the winter

It is best to move potted jasmine indoors for the winter. Because it is cold outside, it is easy to get frostbite. You can put it in a relatively warm room, which will be better for it. The light is relatively weak in winter, so it should be placed in a well-lit location to provide it with sufficient light. In addition, you can also prune it before winter, cutting off the dry and overly long branches of the plant to save nutrients.

2. Methods of wintering in the ground

For plants planted in the ground, they should be given an additional application of flower fertilizer before entering winter to help replenish nutrients. Before the temperature drops to 5℃, it is best to build a shed and let them spend the winter in it. This will prevent them from freezing. If you don't have time to build a shed, you can put a layer of plastic tape on the outside of all the plants to protect them from the cold.

3. Methods for seedlings to survive the winter

It is somewhat difficult for its seedlings to survive the winter. First of all, the temperature should be maintained above 15℃ as much as possible, preferably 20℃. Secondly, there must be sufficient light. If natural light is not enough, artificial light is needed. Because the seedlings have not yet fully grown and their ability to resist cold is relatively weak, they have higher requirements for temperature and light.
