Advantages and disadvantages of dessert roses

Dessert rose is also known as desert rose. It is a variety with very distinctive flower buds. As the petals slowly open, the color of its flowers transitions between white and green.

Finally, its flowers are basically white after opening, with a little green in them. It is native to Japan. The flower size is about 8cm. The whole plant is about 150cm when fully grown. It blooms very frequently, and the flowers should be more beautiful if it is raised in the free range.

Dessert Rose Advantages

There are many advantages of dessert roses. For example, it is a flower that blooms very long. Because the flowering period is very long, even if you ignore it, its petals will not fall off by themselves even after about half a month.

Therefore, it is extremely ornamental, and it has the characteristics of upright multiple heads. It is more heat-resistant than ordinary roses, and is also very resistant to rain. Relatively speaking, it has good disease resistance.

Dessert Rose Disadvantages

The fragrance of dessert roses is not strong, and it is even difficult to smell. Only when you smell it carefully can you smell some faint fragrance. It is not suitable for modeling because the branches are not soft. If the flower head is too heavy, it will droop.

There are many things to pay attention to when growing dessert roses. You need to prepare sandy loam rich in humus for it, and then apply decomposed cake fertilizer to the soil.

Then you need to pay attention to placing it in a bright place with no less than 6 hours of sunshine per day, but in summer you need to move it to a place with scattered light.
