What trees are suitable for planting in autumn?

The temperature in autumn is neither too high nor too low, which is suitable for planting most trees. However, after autumn comes the cold winter, and many trees are not cold-resistant, so it is necessary to take measures to keep warm before winter so that they can grow better in the spring of the following year.

Autumn is a good season for planting trees. Basically, all trees planted in spring can be planted in autumn, preferably after the leaves fall. Trees that are usually suitable for planting in autumn include orange trees, apple trees, pear trees, banana trees, lemon trees, pomegranate trees, peach trees, Sophora japonica, golden weeping willows, Albizia albizia, French sycamore trees, and ginkgo trees.

Orange Tree

The orange tree is not afraid of cold, and is very suitable for autumn planting. If it is placed outdoors in autumn, the leaves are still green and not afraid of cold. Note that when fertilizing in autumn, add some soil, and if there are insects, capture them immediately and wipe them off.

Lemon trees are highly adaptable to the environment and are usually planted in spring and autumn. They prefer loose, fertile, well-drained soil. During the planting period, a maintenance temperature of 20 degrees should be provided so that they can germinate and grow better.

Pomegranate Tree

Pomegranate trees are suitable for planting in autumn. They grow relatively fast. Usually, they can grow to more than one meter in two years after being planted in the first year. Remember to prune them in autumn and add some fertilizer. Place them in a well-ventilated place to reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.

Peach trees are suitable for planting in autumn. They like cool environments and are not resistant to sunlight exposure. Bright diffuse light is sufficient during the growth period. Note that they like well-ventilated soil. If you prepare the soil yourself, you can add some coal slag and coarse sand.

Osmanthus tree

It is better to plant osmanthus trees in autumn than in spring. Because after transplanting osmanthus trees in autumn, their roots can quickly take root in the ground and grow in a new environment. In the next spring, you don't have to miss the spring shoot period when the trees grow most vigorously throughout the year.

Populus tomentosa

Select male white poplar varieties to cultivate seedlings. Transplantation should be carried out in early spring or late autumn, and planting should be appropriately deep. Cultivate seedlings with a breast diameter of 4 to 6 cm, with a planting density of 500 to 800 trees/667 square meters. After 3 years, the seedlings can be thinned out for sale, and the seedlings left in the bed can continue to be cultivated into large seedlings.

Ginkgo Tree

Ginkgo trees are easy to survive when planted in autumn. Ginkgo trees have strong vitality and are light-loving tree species. They are not demanding on soil. When planting plants in autumn, pay attention to watering with antifreeze water to increase the survival rate.
