How to Grow Strawberries in Pots

1. Prepare the soil

When planting strawberry potted plants, you need to prepare a pot with good drainage, and the container should not be too deep. You need to put some granular stones at the bottom of the flower pot first, otherwise the drainage holes will be blocked. The soil also needs good air permeability. It should be noted that the flower pot should be light-colored. Too dark a color will absorb heat and may burn the plant.

2. Purchase seedlings

Usually, when planting in pots, try to choose strong seedlings. If the seedlings are too weak, it will be difficult for them to take root. You can also use seeds for planting, but try to choose fuller seeds without any insect holes on them.

3. Planting of seedlings

Before planting, put the strawberry seedlings in water and soak them for about an hour. Then tidy up its root system and put it into the potting soil to allow the roots to fully stretch, and finally cover it with soil.

4. Potted Plant Maintenance

After planting, you need to water it in time. The first time you water it, you should water it thoroughly, but do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. Avoid direct sunlight during the rooting period and ensure that the rooting environment is well ventilated.
