How often should I water the plant?

The agave can be grown in water. The water should be changed frequently before the agave grows roots, usually every three or four days. Also pay attention to the water quality and replace it with clean water, otherwise it will hinder rooting. If managed properly, new roots will grow in about half a month. After the roots grow, change the water instead of adding water to avoid damage to the roots. If you find that the amount of water is decreasing, add water in time.

Watering method

1. Observe the leaves : You can tell whether the orchid needs watering by looking at the leaf color. If the leaves are dark green and dull, it means the orchid is growing taller and needs watering. If the leaves are dark green and shiny, or glossy, you can water them slowly.

2. Uneven leaves : The shape of the leaves has changed a little, the long leaves are uneven, and there are deep grooves, that is, the two edges of the leaves are curled up, indicating a lack of water and need to be watered.

Watering precautions

1. Watering should be done in summer : Watering should be sufficient during the growth period of the plant, and the soil in the pot should be kept moist. The leaves should be sprayed with water 2-3 times a day during the hot and dry seasons in summer, otherwise excessive dryness will cause the leaf tips to dry out.

2. Changing water: In the early stage of growing lucky bamboo in water, pay attention to changing water in time and pruning the roots. It is not suitable to change water after rooting. Water can only be added in time after water evaporation decreases. Frequent water changes can easily cause yellowing and withering of leaves.

What to do if you water too much

If the soil-grown plants are watered too much, ventilation should be increased, the plants should be exposed to more sunlight, and the soil should be loosened frequently. This will accelerate the evaporation of moisture in the soil and restore the plants as soon as possible.
